We warmly invite you to an enlightening Islamic seminar titled "Tazkiyah: How to Purify Your Heart". This seminar, under the guidance of the respected Shaykh Dr. Abu Ibrahim, will delve into Tazkiyah, an integral concept in Islam revolving around the purification and sanctification of the self.

Tazkiyah, at its core, refers to the transformation of the carnal self or desires from a state of self-centrality towards a state of purity and submission to the will of Allah. It involves ridding oneself of negative traits such as anger, envy, and bad habits, viewed as diseases of the heart. The ultimate aim of Tazkiyah is to foster spiritual growth, enabling individuals to develop a closer connection with Allah and prepare for their return to their final abode, Paradise.

Through this seminar, you will gain insights into:

  • Understanding Tazkiyah: Learn about the concept of Tazkiyah and its significance in the path towards spiritual betterment.
  • Journey of Purification: Understand the steps involved in the purification of the heart and soul.
  • Overcoming Spiritual Hurdles: Identify common spiritual obstacles that impede Tazkiyah and learn how to overcome them.
  • Self-Reflection and Growth: Engage in introspection to identify areas for spiritual growth and advancement.
  • Deepening Connection with Allah: Learn how Tazkiyah aids in strengthening your bond with Allah.

Shaykh Dr. Abu Ibrahim, with his profound wisdom and deep understanding of Islamic principles, will guide us on this enlightening journey. This seminar is open to all who seek to deepen their understanding of Tazkiyah and those who aspire to purify their hearts and souls.

Join us for the "Tazkiya: How to Purify Your Heart" seminar and embark on your journey towards spiritual purification. We look forward to welcoming you to this enlightening event.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ ***

Attending With Children: Due to the nature of the seminar, it can be quite frustrating for young children, therefore we advise that you do not attending with children or babies younger than the age of 7 years old. If you do attend with young children of any age, please keep them with you at all times. If your child becomes restless and makes a lot of noise which disturbs other attendees or the teacher, we will regretably have to ask you to leave.

Seating Arrangements: Seating will be segregated.

Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don't attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already.

Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this.

Salah Arrangements: Women can pray in the Maryam Centre and men can pray in the main hall of the East London Mosque. Please do not pray inside the seminar hall.

Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment.
