You might have specific skills you want to use for a good cause, or you may find you have some time you can dedicate towards helping. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every second and penny contributes towards making a huge difference.
Becoming an official ILM UK volunteer can open up many opportunities for you, from getting involved in our emergency campaigns to fundraising work all year round. By joining, you will receive regular updates of our work, fundraising guides, and ideas, as well as important information on collecting donations.
Whether it is hours, days, weeks or months, whatever time you can give really will matter. You will be gaining new skills and building on what you are already great at, and you will be helping us to support people when they need it most so they can start to feel more in control.

Fundraising can be as much a fun experience as it can be a rewarding one. Cake sales, quizzes and sports events all make for great fundraisers that bring people together for a worthy cause. If you have your heart set on arranging a fundraiser but you’re not sure where to start, please feel free to get in contact with a member of the ILM team today and we will be more than happy to discuss this with you.
Our team will be able to help you regarding collecting donations and ensuring that all payments reach their intended destination. We can also provide you with information about how the money raised by your fundraiser helps to make a difference with orphaned children and other communities we work with. We are sure that this will be of great interest not only to you, but to anyone that supported your fundraising event along the way.
For those who are especially passionate and want to contribute on the ground, working face-to-face with those most in need, ILM does select few volunteers to work with us abroad. As part of our campaigns and volunteer programmes, a team of volunteers can join and work alongside ILM’s team in the communities we work with.
This is an empowering and rewarding experience in which volunteers can support orphaned children and other project participants. There is nothing like having the opportunity to work with those most in need and working to support and develop their local community.
We understand that for many, volunteering abroad may not be possible due to other responsibilities and commitments, which is why are equally as grateful for any kind donation and/or domestic fundraiser that will ultimately support our appeals. For those who can and are willing to give their time, we will always be more than welcoming and happy to assist you to make this happen.
