About this Event

The blessed days of Dhul Hijjah are among the most beloved days to Allah — a sacred opportunity to reconnect with Him, renew your faith, and transform your relationship with your Creator. Join Shaykh Asim Khan for a powerful and practical seminar exploring how to truly come closer to Allah in a time when so many hearts feel distant, distracted and spiritually empty. Through reflection, practical guidance and spiritual insights, this seminar will help you understand what it means to build a genuine relationship with Allah — one built upon love, trust, worship, remembrance and sincerity. Whether you feel disconnected in your worship, struggle with consistency, or simply want to deepen your īmān during these blessed days, this seminar will provide practical steps to help you move closer to your Lord.

In This Seminar You Will Learn: What it truly means to have a relationship with Allah Practical ways to increase closeness to Allah every day The spiritual barriers that distance us from our Creator How to strengthen your Salah, du’a, dhikr and Qur’an connection Ways to remain spiritually consistent beyond Dhul Hijjah How to develop a heart that finds peace in the remembrance of Allah

🎁 Special Gift for Attendees: The first 25 attendees will receive a FREE copy of Shaykh Asim Khan’s new book: How To Get Closer To Allah. Fundraising: during the programme there will be a short fundraising appeal - this will last approximately 10 minutes.

The Teacher: Shaykh Dr. Abu Ibrahim has a PhD in law, specialising in Islamic Family Law. He also has a Masters in Islamic studies and has completed his Alim course. He has written academic papers published by both Cambridge and Oxford University. The Shaykh is an Imam and Khateeb and delivers Islamic lectures throughout the UK. He regularly works with Muslim charities, community organisations, and educational institutions including Islamic Societies (ISocs).

Disclaimer Attending With Children: Due to the nature of the seminar, it can be quite frustrating for young children, therefore we advise that you do not attend with children or babies younger than the age of 7 years old. If you do attend with young children of any age, please keep them with you at all times. If your child becomes restless and makes a lot of noise which disturbs other attendees or the teacher, we will regretably have to ask you to leave. Seating Arrangments: Seating will be segregated. Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don't attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already. Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this. Salah Arrangments: Women can pray in the Maryam Centre and men can pray in the main hall of the East London Mosque. Please do not pray inside the seminar hall. Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment. EVENT RULES: 1. Strictly no video or audio recording is allowed. 2. Please try to wear a mask to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. 3. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend this event. 4. Seating will be segregated and is on a first-come, first-served basis. 5. Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or evict any individual or group at any time at the organisers discretion.

FUNDRAISING: During the event we will have a very short fundraising appeal. ILM is a humanitarian aid charity and the fundraising will go towards supporting our work around the world.
