An earthquake near the Nepal-China border is believed to have triggered a catastrophic flash flood down the Bhotekoshi river, tearing through villages in Rasuwa and downstream districts. Homes, bridges and roads have been swept away and whole communities cut off.

Nepal Police have confirmed at least 177 people killed, with hundreds still missing. Nineteen bridges and around 40km of highway have been destroyed, leaving survivors without shelter, clean water or a way to reach help.

ILM already has an established team in Nepal. They are on the move right now, reaching survivors with food, clean drinking water and medical supplies to stop disease spreading through flood-hit communities.

All donations will go to a Nepal Emergency Relief Pot and be used to provide life-saving support to people affected by this disaster in Nepal.
